Nowadays the internet is awash with articles detailing the hot stone massages at a 5* spa resort in Bali and the magic of the northern lights seen from within a glass igloo in Reykjavik. There is significantly less, however, on how to go and see the world without having to watch your bank card wither away and die in your palm.
The Backpacker’s Almanac does exactly what it says on the tin, it acts as a handbook written by experienced backpackers for prospective backpackers on how to do things on a budget. The world is a beautiful place and there’s nothing better to those smitten with wanderlust than being able to go and experience it.
You won’t find any michelin star restaurants here but you will find some decent hostels that do cheap beer and don’t have any rats (win-win).
